Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 16, provide accurate account information, and verify a phone number to create an account. Some community features are reserved for users aged 18 or older. Only one device session can be active on your account; a new sign-in closes the previous session. You are responsible for protecting your sign-in credentials.
Your content and audience
You are responsible for the content you create. When you attach an Echo to a place, its location may be visible to the audience you select. Review public, followers, selected-people, and private settings before sharing. You retain rights to your content; we host, process, and display it within the scope you choose so the service can work.
Rules of use
Do not post content that infringes rights, discloses private information without permission, threatens or harasses others, promotes hate, involves sexual exploitation, commits fraud, or is otherwise unlawful. Do not use echOKs to track people, expose a private location, bypass location or access checks, create deceptive accounts, or disrupt the service.
Moderation and reports
New Echoes wait for human review unless you explicitly choose automated screening; authorized human moderators may review reports and appeals. We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules and restrict account access when needed. Report problems using the in-app tools or email support@echoks.com.
Automated decisions and appeals
When automated screening is enabled, you may explicitly choose it separately when creating a new Echo or for your own Echo still awaiting human review. Content found eligible may publish according to your chosen time and audience rules; a flagged violation prevents publication or hides content that is already live. If screening is uncertain or unavailable, the Echo stays unpublished for human review. Automated decisions can be wrong. You may request one human review in the app within 30 days of a rejection or hiding decision. A timely appealed Echo is not purged by automated rejection cleanup while the human decision is pending. An authorized moderator may change the final outcome. Without this choice, the existing human-review path applies.
Nearby alerts and reopening
Nearby Echo alerts depend on separate optional permissions, background movement location updates, operating-system region events, and current access rules; we cannot guarantee an alert on every arrival. Notification text does not expose Echo content or location.
Your personal reopening choice applies only to you. Permanent, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly choices do not extend the creator’s Echo lifetime or audience rules. Every personal reopening outside the default mode requires returning to the Echo location and supplying a fresh fix, even if the Echo was originally openable from anywhere.
Venue leadership
Optional venue leadership is an in-app ranking based on eligible visit days over the most recent 90 days. Being a leader does not mean you own or operate a venue and grants no legal right over it. The Privacy Policy explains location checks and records.
Location and service limits
Map, GPS, and place information may be incomplete or inaccurate. echOKs is not an emergency, navigation, or personal safety service. Stay aware of your surroundings and follow applicable rules when visiting a place to unlock an Echo. Features may be interrupted for maintenance, connectivity, or safety reasons.
Deletion and changes
You can delete your account in app settings or use the external request route on the account deletion page. Deleting content or an account cannot retrieve independent copies others made earlier. If these terms change, we will publish the current version here and communicate material changes through appropriate channels.

Local participation and virtual Charm
Charmecho is optional and limited to ages 18 and over. Free Charm units do not create monetary value, ownership or a permanent earned privilege; they cannot be purchased or redeemed for cash. Location spoofing, multi-account ranking manipulation and privilege abuse are prohibited. Place and Charmecho leadership confer no property rights. Safety hides are temporary and subject to human moderation. AR and floor estimates must not be treated as navigation or physical safety guarantees.
